Reweaving the Digital Divide

This month the TED conference lectures were unveiled!

“Ideas Worth Spreading”

Indeed. So here we go!

“TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, Design. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from those three worlds. Since then its scope has become ever broader.

The annual conference now brings together the world’s most fascinating thinkers and doers, who are challenged to give the talk of their lives (in 18 minutes).”

How amazing is it that entertainers, scientists, doctors, educators and many other creative minds came together to work projecting their passions to help the world?

We have so many favorites already but here’s one to start off. This talk is on the digital divide and the new project to provide every child in Columbia a computer to foster peer education.

TED is just one platform. What idea are you trying to spread with your blog, book, friends? What project are you working to make a postive difference in the world?
